When did you get your Xpan?
What attracted you to the Xpan?
The fantastic panorama format. Since I started taking pictures with the Xpan, it became my all time favourite camera.
What lenses do you have?
45mm + 90 mm
Which is your favourite lens?
45mm, I have a much easier time with the composition and framing.
What do you like to take photos of with your Xpan?
Mostly landscapes. I love to travel and see the amazing nature earth has to offer. The Xpan in my opinion is the best camera for the job. I also enjoy using the Xpan for architecture photography.
What would you like to take photos of with your Xpan?
More and more wonderful places I want to travel in the future. Africa, is big on my list.
What is your favourite film to use in the Xpan?
Fuji Pro 400H, something about the grain + color. I love it.
For B&W I am stuck on Ilford XP2 400
What are your three favourite shots that you have taken with your Xpan?
1. I love the colors, layout and how the focus ended up.
Eikando Temple in Kyoto is an amazing place to visit in the fall.
2. Hong Kong, the layout and point of view turned out well in my opinion.
3. Torres del Paine, Chile. The moon at sunrise. I love the colors and the panorama that Torres del Paine provides.
What is your favourite shot that someone else took with an Xpan?
The layout, the lighting and contrast. The mini in the other wise empty parking garage combined with B&W. A wonderful shot.
Which photographers inspire you?
I have to admit, I dont know any photographers because I don’t look out for them. For me it is all about the process of taking pictures. I am odd in that way.
What other cameras do you like to use?
Nikon F3 – Wonderful camera
Fujifilm GF670W Professional – Very portable medium format camera
Samsung S3 – for random digital snapshot
If Hasselblad made a digital Xpan, would you buy it?
No, it wouldn’t be film.
