When did you find out about the Xpan?

When did you get your Xpan?

What attracted you to the Xpan?

Small form factor, wide images. Instant cinema.

What lenses do you have?

All three lens + 2 bodies (Xpan + TX-2)

Which is your favourite lens?

The 45mm is my favorite because it’s straightforward and my angle of choice. It works in most situations and doesn’t need the extra viewfinder.

What do you like to take photos of with your Xpan?

Anything and everything, but usually city and urban scenes.

What would you like to take photos of with your Xpan?

Things and stuff.

What is your favourite film to use in the Xpan?

Kodak Porta 400 for the retro color tones.

What are your three favourite shots that you have taken with your Xpan?

Rascal King

I have this shot of an elvis impersonator riding a motorized scooter, talking on a cell phone in Las Vegas. I took it while riding in a car and only got one shot off It was truly on in a million opportunity that initially I thought I missed but luckily all came back in focus and not blurred.

(Clay only picked one so I’m going to pick the other two for him from shots of his that I like. – MRJ)

Cuba : auto rojo

black church

Los Angles: Captain Baywatch

What is your favourite shot that someone else took with an Xpan?

(Clay said TBA but I’m going to pick one for him. ps Only one Xpan shot of mine in your Flickr favourites? Dude. – MRJ)

 Which photographers inspire you?

Everyone. So many different perspectives that make me realize my own.

What other cameras do you like to use?

Sony A7r is great, small full-frame camera. It looks like a consumer toy but makes phenomenal images. Also, since it’s mirrorless you can adapt any lens out there to it which opens up a lot of crazy options.

If Hasselblad made a digital Xpan, would you buy it?

I would consider it, but not at Hasselblad prices. Ha. I do like shooting RAW digital files, its fun for me to “develop” an image later digitally.

Where can we see your work?

Cheers Clay
